Here's everything you need to know about training at The Yard.
NEW TO THE YARD?
If you haven’t joined a session at The Yard before please complete a short health questionnaire before you arrive - click here.
It takes around 5-minutes to complete and will cover you for all sessions at The Yard.
Having the space and equipment you need to train will always be a priority, so we'll operate a booking system for the Open Gym. There will always be a squat rack with your name on it and there will always be support on hand for whatever you need.
Open Gym times*:
- Monday - 6am - 8:30pm
- Tuesday: 6am - 8:30pm
- Wednesday: 6am - 8:30pm
- Thursday: 6am - 3pm**
- Friday: 6am - 7:30pm
- Saturday: 7:30am - 12:30pm
- Sunday: 8am - 12pm
* There will be short closures around school drop/pick-up times in the short term.
** Thursday evenings will be closed for SCG.
The Yard is located on Phoenix Park, Vinegar Hill, Sandy, SG19 1PR.
Travelling from GM Growers: drive through Upper Caldecote and enter the 40 mile an hour zone and then the national speed limit zone. The Yard is located a few moments drive along this road on the left. You will see a sign for 'Aim4Sport' where you turn into the car park.
Travelling from Sandy: drive along Hitchin Road, which will lead onto Brook End, and then Vinegar Hill. We are located just after Savin Wholesalers on the right. You will see a sign for 'Aim4Sport' where you turn into the car park.
WHAT TO BRING
Yourself, in comfortable exercise clothing. Wear layers.
An exercise mat and a bottle of water.
If you're joining a meditation class you can bring a blanket and a pillow if you'd like.
NEED TO CANCEL?
All our trainers plan sessions in advance, please try to provide 6 hours notice for cancellations - these can be made by logging into your account at jointheyard.com.
Cancellations made within this time will result in no refund or class transfer.
No shows will not be refunded or transferred.
Please refer to you membership contract for a full list of terms.
Membership is due in advance on 1st of every month via standing order. Sessions will be added to your account and can be used at any time within that month.
Extras can be paid for separately via bank transfer, card payment, or can be added to your standing order.
If for any reason you need to change your monthly membership (e.g. you're going on holiday or your circumstances change), you can do that by giving us a 2 weeks heads up.
One month notice is required to cancel any membership entirely.
Our cancellation policy for group training remains the same (6 hours notice), but you'll be able to gift and trade your sessions on our members' forum.
Cancellations for the Open Gym require 3 hours notice and can be made by logging into your account. Any cancellations within this timeframe may result is a loss of credit.
We are a small operation and reserve the right to close The Yard completely for holidays (up to 4 weeks a year). Where possible we will arrange holiday cover so your training isn't impacted.
